how to communicate with your soon to be boyfriend when he barely speaks english, only spanish?

now, i have searched for this answer and it really was annoying when a bunch of kids would say that someone is stupid for asking that question. i really would like a legit answer. he understands body language well and he can speak english a little bit but it takes him a while. i know basic questions, but how do i tell him to call me? and what are some other questions, in spanish, that you would suggest?

If you’re telling him to call you, say “Llámame.” (Not “Me llamas,” as that is incorrect.)

For “My phone number is __,” say, “Mi número (de teléfono) es __.”

For “What is your phone number?” say, “¿Cuál es tu número (de teléfono)?”

For “I’ll call you,” say, “Te llamo” (literally, “I call you,” but this is idiomatic so it’s fine ^^).

I don’t know what you want to ask him, so it’s difficult to come up with questions. Post some questions and we can help.

And you’re not stupid for asking this! One of my language teachers told me that the best way to learn a language is to have a boyfriend/girlfriend who speaks that language. See, you’re already learning Spanish. =) Good luck!
