I want to play the electic & spanish Guitar, but im new so please help how long will it take?
what do i need should i get both and get lessons for both or should i start with one then learn the other later?
my reason is i love guitars and i want to play for fancy restaurants or cruises, so i’ll have to be good.
if i practiced for like 4 years straight would i be good enough to play for people?
Buy a beginner’s guitar book that has chords, illustrations to help you with the guitar, and basic music theory.
Hire an instructor. You can easily learn bad habits in forming chords and make it difficult to change through the years.
Begin with an acoustic guitar. The term “Spanish guitar” was the former name given for an acoustic guitar.
Learn chords first, run-ins or riffs second, and leading third. Concentrate on chord progressions, rhythm, reading and writing music as you focus on your singing style.
If you will be soloing at fancy restaurants or cruises it is not necessary to play an electric guitar. An acoustic guitar may be amplified in several ways.
Dedicating yourself through the strong will to play well will make the object of playing for others a reality.
Be mindful of other guitarists and their style of playing. Develop your own style once you have mastered the basic skills.

I would guarantee that the conductor of such a symphony would face the wrath and scorn of music critics, as well as the patrons in attendance at such a performance.
Jazz is different from other forms because of the fact that free improvisation is at the very root of this style of music. Improvisation is something that an artist must be taught, and then learn to build on the principles in freely creating music based off of a simple theme within a composition. The great thing about improvisation is that no two interpretations off of a theme need to be exactly alike. The truly outstanding jazz musicians are able to improvise while they are performing; and without a single note written on the music staff, (or in guitar the tablature) specifying the improvisation.

How long does it take to play the accoustic guitar ?
I am thinking of taking up the accoustic guitar and getting lessons. I want to do the classical spanish music and I want to go through all the grades. I am very dedicated and I will work very hard . I already know how to play the piano if thats an advantage and I already know the basic chords on the guitar . If I work really hard how long will it take me to get to around grade 6 ??
It entirely depends on how fast you learn it. Some people just have a gift and ace everything in a few years. Others take years and don’t even get better. Playing the piano is a great headstart, all the theory and musical background really helps. Basic chords, good too. As for how long… a decent guitarist takes a year a grade, with the preliminary grade before grade one. You could probably get in… 3-5 years if you are good and work hard, long and often.
