ok, so me and two people have to do a spanish culture project, and we decided to do baking. we are looking for easy spanish dessert to make [we arent the best of bakers]. i already tried looking on google but i cant seem to find the right one. so can anyone suggest a recipe that seems suitable to us??? it would be much appreciated!

This form of tapas can be served hot or cold. Alternatively, garlic prawns, marinated olives or a simple tomato and basil salad make ideal starters.

Chocolate Mexican Wedding Cookies
Ingredients
1. 1 cup butter, softened
2. ⅓ cup powdered sugar
3. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4. 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
5. 3/4 cup ground pecans
6. ½ cup German sweet chocolate, grated
7. ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
8. 1 pinch salt
9. ½ cup powdered sugar
10. ¼ cup German sweet chocolate, grated
In a large bowl, blend the butter and ⅓ cup confectioner's sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine the flour, ground pecans, ½ cup ground chocolate, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter sugar mix. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill 1 hour, or until firm.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Place the balls 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for a few minutes, or until the cookies are firm. Cool 1 minute on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack. For the coating, sift ½ cup of the powdered sugar and ¼ cup of the ground chocolate into a shallow bowl. While cookies are still warm, roll them in the sugar/chocolate mix.
