Authentic Empanada Recipes?
Hi,
My boyfriend is Cuban, so I thought I would have a go at making his favorite food – Empanadas. Everytime I have been to his family’s house, they have ones filled with meat, vegetables or sweet fillings. I’m looking for authentic Spanish recipes – tried and tested family ones would be great.
I want to at least have attempted them before we go to his parents’ for Christmas. If not, I’ll ask his abuela for the recipe then, but I’d like to give it a shot on my own before then.

Tips For Cooking
Cooking is the process of making food by using combination of ingredients so that safe and edible food can be made. Cooking is a vast field, which uses vast range of tools, methods and ingredients so that the digestibility and flavour of the food is altered. Cooking dairy products reduces their protective effectiveness against colon cancer.
Consumption of unpasteruized or uncooked dairy products reduces the risk of colon cancer. Cooking sugars with fats or proteins produces advanced glycation end products. Toxic compounds that are present in smoked, cooked or smoked food are known to be carcinogenic. Cooking the muscle meat forms heterocyclic amines that are thought to increase the risk of cancer in humans.

Cocktail Peanuts?
What are cocktail peanuts? I am making Haystacks tomorrow while we bake christmas cookies and I bought spanish peanuts just going from memory– but i came home and browsed over my recipe and it calls for cocktail peanuts. Can i substitute? Is there another name for cocktail peanuts? thanks =)
Cocktail Peanuts are salted peanuts.
Yes you can substitute your spanish nuts. The only difference with spanish nuts is they tend to have the skin on them so you may want to use a potato peeler to peel off the skin on some.
