Looking for a post-theatre dinner in NYC on a Monday night.?
Two weeks from now I’ll be visiting NYC, and a friend of mine is ‘surprising’ me with tickets to Avenue Q. Naturally, this means I’m going to want to surprise her back with dinner afterwards (probably around 11pm). Any recommendations?
Ideally, I’d like somewhere reasonably classy, with a prix-fixe menu (three courses preferably) and a well stocked wine list. Veggie friendly (she may still be one, I havn’t checked) is good, but it needs to have meat as well (I’m not, and never have been a memeber of the vegetarian party).
Cuisine-wise, French or fusion would be great, Spanish or Italian very nice as well, but I’m willing to try anything that’s new, exciting, and well put together.
I’m hoping to spend about $150-200 for the meal, tip, tax and a bottle of wine included.

The Metropolitan Opera is also highly advanced in modern technologies. It was the first opera in the world to introduce the “Met Titles”. This was a brilliant application that gave a new dimension to the opera. The Met Titles that had cost $ 2.7 million offered the audience a translation of the text of the opera in English.
The translations were available on the screens provided with each seat. The screens were highly sophisticated with many applications and were designed with such special care that they did not disturb the viewers nearby.
Currently the translations are also available in other languages like German or Spanish. Beside the modernization of the opera house, the Met has also taken steps to reach out to people outside New York City with the help of radio and television.
It has regularly broadcasted its performance on television since 1977 but live radio broadcast of the opera dates back to 1931. The Metropolitan Opera is one of the most extravagant and splendid opera houses of all times. Because of its glorious atmosphere, it is naturally one of the priciest opera houses.
The opera tickets are pretty expensive and so is the food. The tickets for the opera can be booked by various means; the online option is perhaps one of the simplest ones!

I am taking my 12 yr old niece to NYC to see a Christmas show in December and would like suggestions on where to take her to eat (pre theater) before the show. She is not a picky eater and likes Italian, French, Indian, Chinese, Spanish food etc. but I would like something affordable and friendly. Not a pizza or deli joint but something a little bit more sophisticated and yet casual with good food and where I can get a glass of wine. Thanks for your thoughts!
Chevy’s is alright .. convenient and in the theater area, The Hard Rock Cafe is would also be nice for a preteen.. Carmines is nice but always crowded and better suited for a large group (4 or more).. Have a blast.
