What customs are associated with Argentina’s Revolution Day?
For Spanish class I need to research Argentina’s holiday of revolution day. I already know all about the holiday’s origin and when it is (May 25), but I can’t find ANYTHING about the customs and traditions that come along with it. PLEASE HELP!! I will award a “Best Answer” if there is a truly helpful response. If you don’t feel like writing it all out, please give websties that will actually help and where to find the info on them.
Also, if you are actually from Argentina, you would probably be a major help.

Spanish Dating – Is Spanish Dating Cultures Different From American?
Meeting new people and enjoying today’s dating scene includes people meeting people from other cultures. Thinking about this may have some asking if there is a difference between Spanish Dating cultures from American dating cultures. Customarily Hispanic gentlemen will adore their woman and others will see the adoration through their gestures and attitude.

The difference between this custom of Spanish singles and American singles is that many from the U.S may feel like their space is being invaded. What’s the tradition of using one’s maiden name or changing it?
Hi folks, my fiancee and I are getting married soon, and an issue has come up regarding changing her name after we are married. Over here in the U.S. most women adopt their husband’s last name, and are known by it both formally and informally. She is of Spanish heritage, and we are both aware of the Spanish custom of keeping one’s maiden name. As for me, my ancestral boat shoved off from Ireland, so I was wondering if anyone could give us an idea of what the Irish tradition was regarding maiden names. Tradition is important to both of us, and we are trying to find a compromise between her honoring her family while also indicating our “oneness” and family unit.

I was going to say what a few other posters said. All of the Spanish/Hispanic/Latina women I know take their husband’s last name but keep their maiden name as a middle name or a hyphen. Good luck in whatever you decide.
