Are my stats good enough for top schools? ?
My cumulative GPA is 4.65 and my SAT score is 2130. My SAT II’s were in US History (790) and Math II (760). I got a 34 on the ACT. I am captain of the Varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams at my school.
Also, do AP test scores count for admissions? I got 5′s on all of my tests (World History, US History, Spanish Literature, Spanish Language, and English Literature and Comp.).
Do these stats realistically seem good enough for top schools? I’m looking at UC Berkeley, Stanford, Brown, and some other top tier universities.

Your stats are definitely good enough! But colleges don’t just look at stats they look at your position in the community. Are you a member of any clubs? Have you completed any community service? How about leadership positions? Got any?
EDIT: I think to be accepted to a top school you need to improve your community involvement. Join a few more clubs and try to receive a leadership position in those. Then you will have about a 25% chance of getting in; right now it’s about 10%.

I heard this because so many people achieve top grades at schools that it isn’t enough to just have all A*s but also you show that you are a BALANCED person who does a WIDE RANGE of things.
